I am Shannon Hudson

Currently, my business partners and I are working on a huge project in the Northwest Arkansas area.  Read more about our project here. I used to identify myself as a tennis player, but that ended in May 2017, along with college tennis. Now I identify myself as a highly- motivated entrepreneur, co-founder of Matrix Racquet Club and NexGen Tennis Academy, and tennis coach.  I finished my 4 years of eligibility on the Women's Tennis Team at the University of Arkansas.  I can't put into words how incredibly appreciative I am for that experience.  I wish upon every highly- motivated individual to be a part of college athletics; there's nothing comparable.

I played at the top of the line-up and earned the role as team captain my senior year.  With these opportunities, I have learned many leadership skills.  You can read more about my experience with college athletics here.

I pride myself on inspiring and motivating myself and others. WE are more capable than our bodies think.  Mind over matter, is a phrase I firmly believe in.  It's how I choose to live my life and how I encourage others to live theirs.  I learned how to push my body and mind at a young age, thanks to great tennis coaches in Virginia Beach.

I am very goal oriented and don't stop until I have reached and exceeded them.  Tenacious is a word that others often use to describe me.  I have strong beliefs and morals that have shaped who I am: Everything happens for a reason. Mind over matter. Honesty is the best policy. Learn from your mistakes and don’t make the same mistake twice. If you believe it, you can do it. It’s a woman’s world. Put others before yourself. Family is everything. Hard work beats talent. Defying the odds. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Push the limits. Ask for forgiveness not permission. The struggle is always worth it.
